HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Canoe Hire Terms & Conditions

Letting : We are letting and you are Hiring the goods shown, together with any accessories described as (The goods) for the period of hire shown upon the terms and conditions set out in this agreement.

Please be aware that, regardless of age, if children are too small to be adequately protected by our child buoyancy aids, they will not be allowed to participate. The final decision lies with CKA Directors.   

Single person booking are not advised, however, please phone and speak to CKT to discuss if you feel you have appropriate experience.

All persons must wear a buoyancy aid at all times whilst on the river.

Alcohol is not permitted whilst in your boat and anyone who appears under the influence of drink or drugs will not be allowed on our boats. The final decision lies with CKT Directors.

No Fishing allowed on the river unless with appropriate licence.

Please be considerate to all other river users ie: fellow canoeists, power boats and fisherman.

Please take care of all equipment, any loss or breakage will have to be paid for, unless by fair wear and tear. Notify us as soon as practicable of any loss or damage.

(camping) parties must abide by the rules of the campsite on which they are staying

(camping) Close gates, respect trees and hedgerows, leave no litter, start fires only in braziers where provided.

Please keep the goods in your possession and under your control at all times

It is extremely important to arrive by the time shown on your booking confirmation form. If you are late other fellow paddles will be delayed by you. Therefore, it may be necessary to leave without you and you may lose your deposit.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in their canoe.

CKT Ltd will not be liable for any death, personal injury, or loss of or damage to goods arising out of the hire of any equipment or goods by them unless that death, personal injury or loss of or damage to the goods arises directly from an act of omission on the part of CKT its servants or agent.

CKT does not have any responsibility whatsoever for loss or damage to your personal belongings or property, Any Water resistant bags or containers supplied by CKT are not guaranteed to be water proof and you accept that taking your personal property onto the river is at your own risk.

    Clients booked by telephone will be deemed to have read and accept these terms and conditions.

You have the right to terminate this agreement at any time, however unless we agree otherwise you will not be entitled to any abatement or refund. Extra carriage charges may have to be made if boats have to be picked up, other than from agreed termination point.

Hire on the day is subject to Safe River and weather conditions. If a postponement of your hire is deemed necessary by CKT Ltd, we will give you as much notice as possible and we will offer you alternative dates, if no convenient alternative date can be agreed, any monies paid will be fully refunded.  

Some special promotions or limited availability trips will require full payment at time of booking in which case the full payment is non-refundable.

CKT have the right to terminate this agreement at any time and you will no longer be in possession of the goods or equipment with our consent
